  • Conduct monthly performance appraisals for administrative staff and present summary reports to the CEO.
  • Ensure that all employees have valid, up-to-date contracts that clearly outline job descriptions and/or performance targets.
  • Recruit and train an HR Assistant to handle day-to-day HR documentation and provide operational support.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and department heads to identify and fill vacant positions, as well as assess staffing needs.
  • Gain a strong understanding of factory and production processes and support employees in meeting their performance targets.
  • Prepare and present weekly HR reports to management, highlighting key updates and metrics.
  • Utilize the HR software (Wagemaster) for tracking attendance and develop solutions to address issues of non-compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, health and safety regulations, and statutory compliance including NHIF, NSSF, and PAYE.
  • Proven expertise in recruitment, employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and performance management.
  • Experience in managing payroll processes, either directly or in coordination with the finance team.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation, particularly in unionized settings.
